How Our Foundation Repair Referral Service Works
New Braunfels Foundation Co. is a referral website, not a foundation repair company. We send your request to one independent local foundation repair company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.
Who runs this site
New Braunfels Foundation Co. is operated by The Gadget Aid, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. We publish this website and pass requests along to a local company. We don't employ crews, own equipment, inspect homes, or install piers or do any foundation work.
We wrote the guides on this site from published sources: the City of New Braunfels, New Braunfels Utilities, the Texas Department of Insurance, the Texas State Historical Association, USDA soil surveys, local reporting from Community Impact, and national cost guides. Sources are listed at the bottom of each page. Prices are published ranges, not quotes.
How your request is routed
- You send a request. The form asks for your name, phone number, town, the service you need, how soon, and an optional note. To start, send a request with the form.
- Your request goes to one company. We send it to one independent local foundation repair company that serves the area. We don't send your request to a list of bidders.
- The company handles the job. Pricing and scheduling come from that company. It will tell you whether it can take your job and what it charges.
- You decide. You're under no obligation to hire the company. Any agreement is between you and the company.
Who pays
Our service is free to homeowners; you never pay us. Companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals, and that's how this site is funded. We don't add anything to your bill, and the company sets its own prices, terms and schedule.
What we don't do
- We don't perform, inspect, design or supervise any foundation work.
- Nothing on this site is a professional engineering opinion. For that, hire an independent Texas-licensed professional engineer (P.E.).
- We don't set prices, give quotes or collect payment for repairs.
- We don't stand behind the company's work, its availability or its prices, and we don't offer any warranty.
- We don't give insurance, legal or code advice. Ask your insurance agent or your city's building department.
- We don't send you marketing texts.
What to ask any foundation repair company
Whether you hire the company we refer you to or someone else, these questions protect you:
- What exactly will you do, in writing? Pier type, number of piers, depth, and a drawing of where they go.
- Who pulls the permit? New Braunfels and Seguin both require permits to repair a building.
- Can I see a certificate of liability insurance? Check that the name matches the company on the bid. Texas doesn't license foundation contractors statewide, so this and references matter.
- Will you test the plumbing before and after? Lifting a slab can stress pipes underneath.
- Is there a warranty, and is it transferable? Get the terms in writing and read what voids it.
- Should I get an independent engineer's evaluation? For large jobs or home purchases, it's worth considering.
Questions or complaints
If you have a problem with the company you were referred to, contact that company first. If it isn't resolved, or you want us to stop sending your requests, email us at [email protected]. We can stop referring to a company that doesn't treat homeowners fairly.
